Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their experience and promote beverage sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently.
- Develop new beverage recipes and refine existing ones to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and communicate stock shortages promptly to management.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for food pairing recommendations and support catering or banquet events when required.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and managing guest intoxication levels professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment; fine dining or banquet experience is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and beverage recipe development.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; strong basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple orders efficiently.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Food safety certification or knowledge of food handling procedures is preferred.
- Previous experience in food service or retail industry settings is advantageous; catering or banquet experience is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a lively hospitality setting.
