Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items accurately and efficiently, following established recipes and safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders, payments, and refunds with precision
- Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change and totals
- Assist with food handling tasks such as bussing tables, cleaning utensils, and restocking supplies to ensure smooth service flow
- Support team members in food preparation, serving, and kitchen duties to uphold high standards of quality and efficiency
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, quick service or fast food restaurant environments preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable
- Culinary experience or background in the food industry is a plus
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and ability to handle diverse guest needs
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience working in a café or retail grocery setting is beneficial but not required
