Plumbing Excavation Supervisor
Salary range: $65,000 – 75,000 annually - Salary based on experience
Schedule: 8AM – 5PM, Monday - Friday, Weekends & On-call as needed
Build a New Division from the Ground Up!
Roto-Rooter in Meridian is launching a brand-new Plumbing Excavation Division and is looking for an experienced Plumbing Excavation Supervisor to lead and build the department.
We are an established Plumbing & Water clean-up company and to continue providing excavation services we are investing in new excavation and trenchless equipment and need a strong leader who understands underground plumbing, excavation, and trenchless technologies and can help build a successful team and operation.
What You'll Do
- Build and manage our new Excavation Division.
- Lead excavation crews and equipment operators.
- Manage residential and commercial plumbing excavation projects.
- Oversee trenching, sewer excavation, and water-line excavation/replacement.
- Manage and perform trenchless sewer repair and replacement.
- Work with inversion lining/CIPP, pull-in-place lining, and pipe bursting.
- Oversee trenchless technology, water-line work, and underground utility projects.
- Manage excavators, mini excavators, skid steers, loaders, trenchers, and other equipment.
- Schedule crews, equipment, and projects.
- Train and develop employees.
- Maintain high standards for safety, quality, production, and customer service.
- Track labor, equipment, and job costs to help ensure profitability.
- Work closely with plumbers, estimators, dispatch, and management.
- Help establish the processes, procedures, and standards for the new department.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of excavation, underground utility, plumbing excavation, sewer, or related construction experience.
- Experience with trenchless sewer technology is highly preferred.
- Experience with pipe bursting, CIPP/inversion lining, pull-in-place lining, or similar methods is a major plus.
- Strong heavy equipment operating experience.
- Experience leading or managing excavation crews.
- Knowledge of trenching, shoring, underground utilities, sewer, and water-line work.
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety and OSHA excavation requirements.
- Ability to manage people, equipment, schedules, and multiple projects.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

We are looking for someone who wants to build and lead a department.
The right candidate will have an opportunity to establish operating procedures, build the team, develop production standards, and grow the Excavation Division.
