We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Front Office Supervisor to support daily front desk operations while also providing overnight relief coverage two days per week.
In this role, you will help oversee guest arrivals, departures, service recovery, team support, and overall front office flow during daytime shifts. In addition, this position will provide scheduled overnight coverage to support and relieve the Night Manager, ensuring consistency, accountability, and high service standards across both day and overnight operations.
The Front Office Supervisor plays an important role in supporting the Front Office leadership team, maintaining guest satisfaction, and ensuring smooth communication between departments.
Responsibilities
- Support daily front desk operations, including guest arrivals, departures, inquiries, room moves, and service recovery.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Front Office team members during assigned shifts.
- Deliver exceptional guest service by responding to guest needs, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Assist with room assignments, billing questions, payment processing, guest profiles, and reservation details.
- Partner with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, Food & Beverage, and other departments to resolve guest issues and operational needs.
- Provide overnight relief coverage two days per week to support the Night Manager and overnight operation.
- During overnight shifts, assist with night audit procedures, guest requests, late arrivals, early departures, and overnight reporting.
- Monitor front desk activity and support safety and security procedures during both daytime and overnight shifts.
- Escalate guest concerns, operational issues, emergencies, or service disruptions to management when appropriate.
- Ensure clear shift handovers and proper communication with Front Office leadership and other departments.
- Maintain working knowledge of systems used in front office operations, including StayNTouch, Knowcross, PBX, POS, payment processing platforms, room status tools, and internal communication systems.
- Help maintain organization, accountability, and service consistency throughout all assigned shifts.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous hotel front desk, guest services, or supervisory experience required.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to lead by example and support team members in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of night audit procedures and basic hotel accounting practices preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle guest concerns with tact, patience, and professionalism.
- Comfortable using multi-line phone systems and hotel operating systems.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including daytime shifts and two overnight shifts per week.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with luxury, lifestyle, resort, or hotel environments preferred.
