Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Stable Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong understanding of equine management. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the stable, caring for horses, and assisting with various tasks related to animal handling and facility upkeep. The Stable Worker will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our animals while contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for horses, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of stalls, paddocks, and common areas by mucking out waste and ensuring proper bedding is in place.
- Assist with holding horses for vet
- Clean water buckets and add fresh water in the stalls and in the paddocks
Requirements
- Previous experience in animal care or handling, particularly with equine species, is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the stable environment.
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and report on animal conditions effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
