Pay: $20.00–$25.00/hour + Overtime Available
Contract: 12-Month Assignment (Potential for Extension)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solder Assembler II to join a leading electronics manufacturing team in Oldsmar, FL. This position is ideal for candidates with extensive experience performing advanced soldering, circuit card assembly, PCB rework, and mechanical assembly in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IPC-610 and J-STD workmanship standards, SMT and through-hole soldering, and precision electronic assembly using microscopes and specialized soldering equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced soldering and rework on printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies.
- Assemble and solder both Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and through-hole electronic components.
- Complete complex component replacement including:
- BGA (Ball Grid Array)
- QFN (Quad Flat No-Lead)
- Fine-pitch components
- High-density connectors
- Perform precision mechanical assembly on circuit card assemblies.
- Install stand-offs, spacers, hardware, and other mechanical components.
- Apply adhesives, epoxies, and bonding materials as required.
- Utilize hand soldering tools, solder stations, and reflow equipment.
- Inspect completed assemblies using microscopes to verify proper component placement and orientation.
- Troubleshoot defective assemblies and perform advanced rework.
- Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve production issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
- Meet production schedules while maintaining high quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of electronic soldering and circuit board assembly experience.
- Documented experience with IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
- Experience with J-STD-001 soldering requirements.
- Strong experience using:
- Soldering irons and solder stations
- Rework equipment
- SMT and through-hole soldering techniques
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and assembly documentation.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and fine motor skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading and writing required).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC-A-610 Certification
- IPC-7711/7721 Rework Certification
- Experience using:
- X-Ray inspection equipment (AXI)
- Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)
- Reflow ovens
- Electronic testing and inspection equipment
- Experience with complex PCB repair and electronic rework.
Additional Requirements
- Must successfully complete and pass a required medical examination.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed (approximately 10 hours per week).

Three-day weekends every week!
Compensation
- $20.00–$25.00 per hour
