If you have these traits, we will help train the rest. Previous insurance experience is not required. Our goal is to find the right person/teammate. Our office was recently voted as top place to work in all of Central Massachusetts for 2024 (Community Choice awards) and as we grow, maintaining this is essential. The ideal candidate could fill a part time position 3-7 Tuesday, Thursday and 12-4 Friday - with the potential for adding another 1-2 days. Training and workloads will be adjusted to the pace of the applicant and will progress to include:
- Register new patients in person or via phone
- Scheduling appointments
- Patient greeting/check in
- Collecting co-pay/patient payments
- Help PT’s with information when requested
- Assisting in office cleaning/laundry during downtime
- Confirmation calls to patients for appointments when requested
Skills required:
- Basic computer skills
- Phone etiquette
- Efficient communicator with superior interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements:
- Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person, over the computer/electronic device, and over the telephone.
- Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person, using computer/electronic devices, and over the telephone.
- Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of patients and reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
- Other: Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds unassisted, including assisting patients when required.
- Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity to perform mostly desk duties.
- Requires infrequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements (typing), standing, walking, sitting, with some light lifting (up to 10lbs required very infrequently) during a regular work shift.
