Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drive systems, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs, wheel alignments, and steering system diagnostics to optimize handling and safety.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems such as lighting, sensors, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, or replace parts while adhering to safety standards.
- Execute routine vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting automotive schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience working with ADAS technology and automotive electrical systems.
- Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools for accurate troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems such as engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical components.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus.
- Ability to work with various hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and powertrain repair techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with technical proficiency in automotive diagnostics.
- Customer-focused mindset with effective communication skills to enhance the service experience.
