The Maintenance Tech, under the supervision of the management team, is responsible for performing corrective and preventive maintenance of all equipment assigned to Plant Operations and Maintenance.
Position Overview:

Maintain equipment in top operating conditions and minimize breakdown of it.

Ensure that the aesthetic appearance of the hospital is maintained in satisfactory condition.

Must possess unique skills which foster cooperative working relationships, which promotes a positive image of the department to outside personnel.

Good verbal/written communication skills are essential.

Must be able to deal with physicians, nurses, and other hospital personnel in a professional manner at all times.

Must have effective working relationship with other hospital departments, partners, etc., awareness of cost and equipment used and control of hospital assets.

Mechanic must also have proven technical experience and skills in troubleshooting control circuits, mechanical equipment, ability to read controls schematics, manuals, etc., and the ability to diagnose and repair those more technical problems that occur with controls, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, or plumbing.
What qualifications you will need:
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current South Carolina driver license.
Education: High school diploma/GED is required
Experience: Ten (10) years’ skilled experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, to include electrical, air conditioning and plumbing training, in a hospital, hotel, or manufacturing plant preferred.
Special qualifications: Requires the ability to read and follow prints, diagrams, manufacturer’s directions and recommendations.
