Food Cost Scout helps independent restaurants stop overpaying their broadline distributors.
We compare real, customer-specific pricing across many suppliers — so operators see, item by item, where they're leaving money on the table. We've signed and onboarded our first paying customers and we're building the founding sales team.
Who we're looking for:
You’ve carried a bag in foodservice distribution — national broadliner, regional broadliner, specialty house, or value-focused distributor, and you know the truth nobody at corporate says out loud: price wins. You still have real relationships with independent operators — single and multi-unit — who trust you. When you show them they're overpaying, they listen.
What you'd do:
Take a product that sells itself to people who already know you. Show operators their savings. Close. Help shape how we sell as we grow.
Comp:
100% commission — uncapped. No base. This is a ground-floor role for a closer who wants to own their upside, not collect a salary. Top-of-market commission split for the right person. If you bring a book and you can close, you'll do very well here.
You're a fit if:
- 5+ years broadline foodservice sales (DSR / territory / business development)
- Existing book of independent restaurant relationships
- You believe price transparency is overdue in this industry
If that's you, apply — or just message me. Let's talk.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
Benefits:
People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
Application Question(s):
- How many years of broadline foodservice distribution sales experience do you have (Sysco, US Foods, PFG, GFS, McLane, Martin, Dot, Keith, Shamrock, etc.)?
