Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm - Training - First 2 months (approximate timing)
9am - 5pm - Permanent schedule (after training is complete)
*Ability to work overtime and/or weekends when needed due to emergencies or during inclement weather.
Summary:
Responsible for performing general maintenance including repairs and maintenance of our equipment and building systems. Perform skilled and semi-skilled work in several crafts including carpentry, electrical and plumbing. Attention to detail and reliability will be key in keeping our facilities in top condition.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance tasks including general building maintenance.
- Such as fixing drywall, repairing doors, and addressing plumbing issues such as repairing faucet and drains and replacing light bulbs.
- Manual repairs as needed and checking the functionality of safety systems like fire alarms.
- Includes work on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems.
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential issues and troubleshoot any problems that arise. Includes maintaining exterior property by salting, sanding and snow removal.
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members, contractors, and professionals during renovations and other projects. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and follow safety rules to ensure a safe working environment. Responds promptly to emergency situations and supports supervisors in the resolution process.
Requirements and skills
- A minimum of one year of experience in building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrical work is strongly preferred, though not mandatory.
- Knowledge of general maintenance procedures along with a skill set that includes basic proficiencies in some or all of the following: plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical/mechanical systems.
- Strong customer and interpersonal skills, must develop and maintain good relationships with all staff on a daily basis
- Aptitude for organizing tasks, managing time and prioritizing projects.
Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, enabling effective troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand and electrical tools, with a strong understanding of their applications and safety protocols.
Physical Requirements:
Employee will be regularly required to stand, walk, bend, sit, stoop, reach with hands and arms, move furniture, life equipment and/or climb ladders for extended periods of time.
Pay: $68,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
