Overview:
Living Word is looking for a Worship Director/Pastor. We are celebrating our 40th year as a church this year, and we are excited and hopeful for the next 40 years and what God will do through this house. We are looking for a gifted worship leader, not just musically and technically, but also one who has a heart to pastor and lead the department and team they are over. You will work directly with the executive and lead pastors at the church to make sure the worship experience is excellent and the worship department is thriving. AVL support is provided by other team members, so the primary focus of the director will be the musical aspect of the worship experience and team development.
Work Duties Will Include:
- Encourage and foster relationships within the worship department
- Develop new relationships and partnerships for the worship department
- Build out service tracks
- Ensuring that weekend services go smoothly related to the worship experience
- Leading worship in all weekend services (5)
- Running one weekly rehearsal in preparation for weekend set
- Protect the culture of the worship team and enforce church standards across the department
- Lead worship for seasonal special events
- Help plan and execute Easter and Christmas Eve services
- Team development
- Volunteer recruitment
- Musical and technical development of current team
Needed Experience:
- Multitracks
- Playback
- Bachelors Degree in Ministry related or Music related degree and or
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership role of a worship team in a church setting
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
