Duties
- Supervise children ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and lead engaging activities including arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational projects that promote creativity and teamwork
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies to foster a respectful and inclusive environment
- Support children with homework assistance and tutoring in various subjects to reinforce learning
- Coordinate outdoor activities and supervise children during playtime, promoting physical activity and outdoor exploration
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR certification standards, and emergency response plans
Skills
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain order while encouraging fun learning experiences
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including daycare or camp environments
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols for emergencies
- Ability to facilitate youth group activities, sports coaching, theater programs or other extracurricular activities
- Excellent child supervision skills with a focus on behavior management and child safety
- Experience working with special education needs or implementing inclusive teaching strategies
- Demonstrated team leadership abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues and program staff

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
