Long Term Substitute - Grade 1 Teacher

The Gray-New Gloucester Russell School is seeking a highly qualified substitute to teach first grade for approximately 12 weeks beginning in October 2026.
Candidate must be positive, have the ability to create a strong classroom community and develop meaningful relationships with students, staff and families.
Candidate must also have a strong understanding of high-yield instructional strategies in all core content areas, particularly with developing foundational skills in reading, writing, and math.
Candidates with experience related to instruction of students of a similar age will be prioritized.
A Maine Department of Education teaching certificate (020) is preferred.
Compensation Range: $135.00 - $150.00 per day
