JOB Interested in making a difference in a community? The City of Garden City is looking for three individuals to work part-time (16-20 hours per week) in our Code Enforcement Department. This Department works closely with the Police Department, Building Department, and 21st District Court to enforce the Codes and Ordinances of the City of Garden City.
Employees will typically work a day shift, but hour may include some nights and weekends.

Job duties include:

Patrolling assigned areas of the City to identify code violations

Responding to complaints reported to the City

Communicating with residents and business owners regarding violations, remedies, and time frames

Writing tickets for violations

Maintain detailed documentation

Attention to detail

Updating database with the most current information
-
Communicating the most recent developments to other employees/departments as needed

Appearing in Court and testifying when necessary
