Job Summary
The Infusion PRN- Travel position is designed for skilled healthcare professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality infusion therapy to patients in various settings. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to travel to different locations as needed for various hours. Duties
- Administer intravenous (IV) infusions and medications according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after infusion therapy, documenting findings accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about infusion therapy, potential side effects, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, progress, and any changes in condition.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols during all procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license or relevant certification in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in infusion therapy or a related field is preferred.
- Strong assessment skills and the ability to recognize complications or changes in patient conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to travel frequently and adapt to various work environments.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is required; advanced certifications may be preferred.
