Duties
- Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, and organizing ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, maintaining consistency and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety and sanitation standards
- Support dishwashing duties by cleaning dishes, cookware, and kitchen tools efficiently and promptly
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
- Help with meal assembly and plating during busy service times to expedite order delivery
- Contribute to inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or culinary environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic cooking techniques are advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Experience with dietary departments or dietary aide roles is a plus but not mandatory
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
