THE OPPORTUNITY
Esperanza Academy Charter School is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Teacher Pathways Coach to strengthen teacher capacity, support professional growth, and advance academic excellence across our K–12 program. This role is critical in developing both current and aspiring educators by providing high-quality coaching, leading teacher induction efforts, and managing strategic teacher pipeline initiatives.
The Teacher Pathways Coach will play a key role in ensuring that teachers at all stages of their careers receive the support, feedback, and development needed to drive strong instructional outcomes for students. This position requires a highly organized, relationship-driven professional who is passionate about coaching, adult learning, and building sustainable systems that improve teacher effectiveness and retention.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Teacher Coaching & Development

Conduct regular classroom observations focused on instructional quality, classroom management, and student engagement

Lead individualized coaching cycles including goal setting, modeling, co-teaching, and feedback

Develop targeted support plans for teachers requiring additional coaching

Support implementation of culturally responsive and differentiated instructional practices

Track teacher progress and communicate outcomes with school leadership
Teacher Induction Program Leadership

Design and lead a comprehensive induction program for new teachers

Facilitate professional development sessions, workshops, and reflective practice opportunities

Coordinate mentor-teacher pairings and monitor progress

Ensure alignment with certification and licensure requirements

Use feedback and data to continuously improve programming
Teacher Pipeline & Grant Management

Serve as the lead coordinator for grant-funded teacher pipeline initiatives

Manage project timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements

Facilitate team check-ins and ensure alignment across recruitment and development efforts

Identify and pursue additional funding opportunities to support teacher pipeline work
Student Teacher & University Partnerships

Partner with universities to coordinate student teacher placements

Match student teachers with mentor teachers

Conduct regular check-ins and support progress toward program benchmarks

Serve as liaison between Esperanza, universities, and student teachers
Instructional Programming Support

Collaborate with the Academic Division on key instructional initiatives

Support curriculum development and implementation of academic programs

Contribute to school-wide instructional improvement efforts
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Required
-
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
-
Minimum of 5 years of highly effective classroom teaching experience

Valid Pennsylvania teaching or principal certification PK-12

Demonstrated success in coaching teachers or leading professional development
Preferred

Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field

Experience with grant management or program coordination

Knowledge of PDE induction and certification requirements

Special Education experience or certification

Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
