A quick note on pay: Indeed requires an hourly figure, but this is a 1099 per-shoot contract role, not hourly. Real pay is per booking — a typical listing pays $105–$250, a full day of listings runs $210–$450, and content shoots pay $75–$100/hour. Full breakdown below.
We run two connected businesses and we're hiring shooters for both across Brooklyn:
- Regalis Realty Media — real estate listing media (photos, video, floor plans, 3D tours) for agents and brokerages.
- Growth Lab Media — video content for local businesses (short-form social, talking-head, b-roll, brand video).
Here's what makes this different: you only shoot — you never edit anything. You capture to our standard and send the raw media straight to our editors. All editing, retouching, delivery, scheduling, and client communication are handled in-house.
You don't have to do both. Tell us what you shoot — real estate, content, or both — and we'll send you the work that fits.
The two kinds of work
Real estate shoots (Regalis)
- HDR interior + exterior listing photography — brownstones, condos, co-ops, and tight city spaces
- Making small rooms look open and inviting is the skill that matters here
- Listing walkthrough / cinematic video
- Floor-plan scans (CubiCasa — we'll train you) and, if equipped, 3D tours
Content shoots (Growth Lab)
- Short-form, social-ready video for local business clients — shot to a script we provide
- Talking-head interviews with clean audio, plus b-roll
- Brand and promotional video
Both: send raw media to our editor the same day, and represent us professionally on site.
What we're looking for
- Experienced photographers / videographers only — freelance or agency. This is not a learn-on-the-job role.
- A proven portfolio — required (real estate work, content/video work, or both)
- Comfortable working in tight spaces, walk-ups, and occupied units
- Reliability above all — on time, every time, with clear communication
Gear you must have
For real estate shoots:
- Camera: a full-frame (or top-tier APS-C) interchangeable-lens body, 24MP+, with true 5-frame auto-bracketing (AEB). Minimum bar: Sony a7 III, Nikon Z6 or D750, Canon R8, or a top APS-C like the Sony a6700. We shoot on the Sony A7 IV as our reference. (Many entry bodies only bracket 3 frames — yours must do 5.)
- Lens: a rectilinear ultra-wide — 16mm full-frame equivalent (14–18mm range; ~10–11mm on APS-C). Sharp corners, straight walls — not a fisheye.
- Tripod
- A smartphone compatible with the CubiCasa app (iPhone iOS 18+, iPad Pro with LiDAR, or an Android 12+ phone with ARCore support)
- No flash needed — natural-light HDR brackets.
For content shoots:
- Camera capable of quality video
- A gimbal stabilizer
- Audio — a lav or shotgun mic for clean talking-head sound (non-negotiable)
- Lighting — a basic light kit for interviews
Both: reliable transportation across Brooklyn and Staten Island — a vehicle with a valid license is strongly preferred, given the gear you'll carry.
Gear that unlocks more work (optional)
- 3D tour jobs: a Zillow 3D Home–compatible 360 camera — Ricoh Theta (Z1, X, SC2, or V) or Insta360 (X5, X4, X3, X2, or ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition)
(Drone work is limited in NYC due to airspace restrictions.)
You don't need all of it to start. Camera + CubiCasa-ready phone gets you photo and floor-plan jobs. Add a gimbal, mic, and lights for content work. Add a 360 camera for 3D tours.
What we provide
- A reliable stream of paid bookings across both businesses
- All editing, delivery, and client comms handled for you
- Clear onboarding, shot lists, scripts, and brand standards
- Fast, dependable per-shoot pay
- Room to grow into video, content, and branding work
Pay — 1099 contract, paid per shoot
Real estate: from $90 per standard photo shoot, plus add-ons at each stop:
- Floor-plan scan: +$15 (or +$40 with Zillow 3D)
- Video capture: +$50–$100 (by type)
- Oversized homes (5,000+ sq ft): +$50
Standalone jobs — a floor-plan-only or 3D-only booking (no photo shoot) is paid at the standard $90 rate, since each is a full trip out.
Content shoots (Growth Lab): $75–$100 per hour, based on scope and gear.
A typical listing pays $105–$250; a full day of listings runs $210–$450.
