Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble components according to standardized recipes and menu specifications
- Cook a variety of dishes with attention to quality, presentation, and safety standards in production
- Assist with food prep tasks such as slicing, dicing, portioning, and plating to ensure efficiency during service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety management practices
- Follow all safety standards in production, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Support the kitchen team in meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed
- Ensure accurate food portioning and timely delivery of dishes during busy service hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant kitchens with a focus on quality and safety
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient handling
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food handling procedures within the food industry
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations
- Familiarity with dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations
