Job Summary:
Let’s cut to the chase (pun intended).
This job is not glamorous. It’s not easy. You will sweat. You will stink. You will get slobbered on, stepped on, and definitely peed on. You’ll end your day exhausted, covered in fur, and still somehow smiling—because you're doing something that matters.
We're a small, family-owned business that’s been voted Anoka County’s Best Dog Boarding three years in a row. Why? Because we pour our hearts, backs, and sometimes our sanity into giving dogs the safest, happiest, tail-waggin’-est experience possible. We’re looking for someone who wants to do the same.
Duties:
- Supervise off-leash dog group play
- Break up dog shenanigans before they turn into real drama
- Clean messes that range from “oops” to “oh dear god”
- Feed, love, and safely handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities
- Deliver top-notch service to pet parents (even if you’re mid-poop-scoop)
- Work weekends, holidays, and days when it’s 90°F and humid—because the dogs still need us ( & don't worry we have A/C that's on blast at all times)
What You’ll Need:
- A strong work ethic and the ability to grind through tough, dirty, exhausting days
- A team-first mindset—we’re a small, close-knit crew and we have each other’s backs
- Thick skin, quick feet, and a sense of humor (trust us, you’ll need all three)
- Career-minded—this isn't a summer gig, it’s a step into the animal care industry
- A love for dogs that borders on obsession
- No experience? No problem. We are happy to train the right person from the ground up!
Bonus Points If You:
- Have worked in kennels, grooming salons, doggy daycares, or vet clinics
- Know dog body language
- Can lift 50 lbs, handle long hours on your feet, and hustle
- Don’t flinch at barking, drool, or mild chaos
Why You'll Love It Here:
- We’re a family—not just coworkers
- You’ll get to build real bonds with the dogs and their humans
- Every day is different, rewarding, and filled with four-legged joy
- Growth opportunities if you’re in it for the long haul
- Laughs, love, and dogs. Lots and lots of dogs.
Pay, Benefits & Growth Opportunities
We start all team members at $15.00/hour during training. From there, pay increases are based on performance, reliability, initiative, and overall contribution to the team. We believe hard work should be rewarded, and employees who consistently show leadership, take ownership of their responsibilities, and go above and beyond will have opportunities for advancement and higher pay.
We’re looking for people who want to grow with us—not just collect a paycheck.
Additional Benefits:
- 401(k) with company matching available after 2 years of employment
- Growth and advancement opportunities for long-term team members
- A supportive, close-knit team environment
- Plenty of dog kisses, tail wags, and unforgettable moments
