Duties
- Supervise restaurant operations, including food preparation, service flow, and cleanliness standards
- Lead staff training and development to enhance skills in food handling, customer service, and team management
- Manage shift schedules, ensuring proper staffing levels for busy periods and special events
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining optimal stock levels using POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and end-of-shift reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold high standards of food quality and hygiene
- Support management in budgeting, cost control, and implementing operational improvements
- Assist in interviewing and onboarding new team members to build a strong, motivated workforce
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service or fast food restaurants
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with cash handling procedures
- Demonstrated supervising experience in hospitality or food service environments
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a high-energy setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards, inventory control, and food production processes
- Leadership qualities with experience in staff training, development, and team management
- Previous experience in casual dining or fine dining settings is highly desirable; catering or banquet experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills along with the ability to interview, train, and develop staff effectively
