Job Summary

Duties
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival, manage waitlists, and seat them efficiently using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar platforms
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, handling cash handling responsibilities with integrity and precision
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the dining experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable reservation platform
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Ability to upsell effectively by recommending beverages like wine or spirits and enhancing the overall dining experience
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred; knowledge of food safety practices essential
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Beverage service expertise including cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink presentation
- Familiarity with sanitation standards for food handling and serving in a hospitality setting
- Strong communication skills coupled with a positive attitude that fosters guest satisfaction and team collaboration
