Full-Time Position:
The Teller is responsible for supporting branch operations by serving as a primary point of contact for customers and processing daily transactions—including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments—with accuracy and efficiency.
This role ensures a high standard of customer service while maintaining strict adherence to banking regulations, policies, and security procedures. The Teller assists customers with inquiries, identifies their financial needs, and helps build strong, trust-based relationships within the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Accurately process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and check cashing.
* Balance cash drawers and maintain appropriate cash levels in accordance with bank procedures.
* Verify customer identity and ensure all transactions comply with bank policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
* Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing account assistance.
* Support branch operations, including the use and oversight of cash handling equipment (e.g., cash vault, ATM) in compliance with established procedures.
* Identify customer needs and promote appropriate bank products and services, including assisting with opening new accounts when applicable.
* Maintain operational accuracy and compliance standards to support successful branch audits and internal reviews.
* Perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining professionalism, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities
* Adhere to all bank policies and applicable federal and state regulations to ensure accurate and compliant transaction processing.
* Verify customer identity and follow Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures to prevent fraud and identity theft.
* Comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, including monitoring transactions and reporting suspicious activity.
* Complete Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) for transactions meeting regulatory thresholds.
* Safeguard customer information by maintaining strict confidentiality and following data security policies.
* Follow cash-handling and internal control procedures to minimize risk, errors, and potential loss.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and bank policies.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
* One+ year customer service experience
* One+ year banking experience - preferably as a Teller, CSR or Personal Banker
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Basic proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and banking platforms.
* Working knowledge of fundamental banking products and services (e.g., checking, savings, loans, certificates of deposit).
* Understanding of bank policies, procedures, and security practices related to financial transactions.
* Strong numerical aptitude and cash-handling accuracy.
* Ability to operate standard office equipment and banking systems efficiently.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive customer and financial information.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
This position operates within a small, community-oriented bank branch where employees provide direct, face-to-face service to customers at a teller station or service counter. Daily responsibilities include the use of computers, cash drawers, and standard banking equipment to process financial transactions.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
