This is a full-time, full year position.Answer phone, direct calls, take messages, schedule appointments and relay general information as necessary to community members, school staff and representatives from public and private entitiesAnalyze and classify material for filing and maintain general office filesPerform word processing tasks as assigned, including writing letters, creating meeting invitations, developing student forms and managing spreadsheets and databasesPerform routine repetitive tasks related to the operation of various office equipment including copy/scan/fax machines, etc.Process all paperwork related to special education students entering and leaving the districtDuplicate and distribute special education meeting invitations, evaluation reports and IEPs according to the required timelinesMaintain and update confidential student records including all records for out of district students and students receiving MedicaidLearning Aspen special education components and serve as a resource for special education staff who require assistance Maintain Aspen database for active, withdrawn and referred special education studentsMaintain databases for all Medicaid eligible studentsServe as liaison between UMASS Medical (Medicaid) and the school districtMaintain confidentiality at all timesInteract with families and staff in a courteous and professional mannerProvide administrative support to all Special Education CoordinatorsPerform other administrative duties as requested by the Director of Pupil Personnel Services
