Draeger's Supermarkets, Inc in Menlo Park is seeking a full-time Wine Steward who has a passion for fine wine and enthusiasm for customer service. Flexibility in scheduling, including early evenings and weekends, is a must. This position reports to the Wine Manager.
Draeger's is a family-owned grocery store that satisfies a variety of grocery needs. We offer a blend of gourmet items, international and natural foods, prepared foods/bakery products, meat, wine, catering, beverages and cookware products.
Pay: $24.00 to $26.00, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Provide excellent customer service - greet customers in a friendly manner.
- Answer any wine inquiries and assist customers in selecting wine, beer, and spirits based on their preferences, budget, and occasions.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed.
- Support wine department during special events, tastings, and promotions.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in wine and liquor retail preferred.
- Knowledge of and adherence to California ABC Laws and regulations.
- Friendly, professional, and helpful attitude toward customers and coworkers.
- Is proactive, quick on their feet, organized and engaged.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
