Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and executing volleyball practices, drills, and game strategies
- Support athlete development by providing constructive feedback and encouragement during training sessions
- Help oversee team activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed and behavior is managed effectively
- Contribute to the organization of team events, competitions, and community outreach programs
- Maintain clear communication with athletes, parents, and staff regarding schedules, progress, and team updates
- Lead warm-ups and cool-down routines to promote injury prevention and proper athletic techniques
- Support the implementation of sports-specific training instruction to enhance players' skills and teamwork
Skills
- Prior experience in volleyball coaching or playing at a competitive level
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with athletes, parents, and staff
- Experience working with children or youth in sports or educational settings
- Knowledge of sports coaching techniques and team leadership principles
- Ability to teach physical education fundamentals and sport-specific skills confidently
- First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) for safety assurance
- Familiarity with AED operation and basic health club or gym experience is a plus
- Experience in behavior management to foster a positive team environment
- Enthusiasm for physical activity and promoting healthy lifestyles among young athletes
Pay: $1,500.00 per year
