Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Group Home Manager to lead and oversee operations within a community-based residential setting dedicated to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care while fostering a safe, supportive, and empowering environment. Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of the group home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including those requiring Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, or memory support.
- Supervise staff members, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations to promote a motivated and skilled team.
- Oversee medication administration processes to ensure safety and adherence to prescribed treatments.
- Manage budgets, staffing schedules, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency while maintaining quality care.
- Foster positive relationships with residents’ families, healthcare providers, and community resources to support residents’ well-being.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents within the home.
Requirements
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or group home settings working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong background in senior care, Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, or memory support services.
- Demonstrated management skills with supervising teams in long-term care or home & community care settings.
- Knowledge of care planning processes and familiarity with medication administration protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills with experience in operations management and budgeting.
- Compassionate leadership style combined with strong communication skills to engage residents, staff, and families effectively.
