Overview
This position is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, hiring and onboarding full-time, part-time, and seasonal workers for all departments within Surf or Sound Realty. A successful recruiter will work closely with local vendors and build relationships within the communities to proactively build a pipeline of talent.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the housekeeping, linen, pool & spa and cart roll back departments to identify staffing needs on a regular basis.
- Source and recruit seasonal employees.
- Source, recruit, and onboard full-time staff employees
- Phone screen and interview candidates to evaluate skills and experience.
- Process background checks and DMV reports prior to start date.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and the company policies.
- Build a pipeline of candidates by using various recruiting tools/sources; NC Works, marketing to the local area, social media and community relations.
- Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”.
- Attend and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Collaborate regularly with all departments and human resources regarding pay rates, start dates, incentives and other pertinent details.
- Work onsite in Salvo every Saturday to onboard new hires and process E-Verify.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
- Two or more years of experience managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.
- Significant background in sourcing and managing large seasonal workforces in the hospitality or manufacturing industries highly preferred.
- Paychex applicant tracking system experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruiting.
- Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant tracking software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Background check, drug screen and references required.
