Medical Assistant / LPN/ RN/ Patient Care Coordinator — Functional Medicine (North Raleigh)
Beverly Medical Center is an established, growing integrative and functional medicine practice in north Raleigh, and we're looking for one exceptional person to join our team — possibly two.
Our practice is led by Dr. Beverly Goode-Kanawati, author of The Ultimate Thyroid Book and founder of Beverly Medical Center. We specialize in thyroid and hormone health, PRP and regenerative therapies, and root-cause medicine — spending real time with patients, digging into the why behind their symptoms, and helping people actually get well. What you'd do
This role spans two sides of the patient visit, and you'll be cross-trained on both:
- Clinical intake — greeting and rooming patients, vitals (BP, pulse, weight), medication reconciliation, and assisting with in-office procedures.
- Check-out & care coordination — reviewing the provider's recommendations with the patient, generating lab requisitions, calling in prescriptions, and processing payment for visits and testing and assisting with in-office procedures.
There's natural overlap between the two, and we want someone who's happy to learn all of it. Variety is part of what makes this job good.
Who we're looking for
- Genuinely curious about medicine and drawn to the functional/integrative approach — this matters more to us than anything else.
- Warm, organized, and calm with patients.
- Comfortable with technology and detail (labs, orders, and payments have to be right).
- Reliable and a real team player in a small office where everyone pitches in.
Credentials welcome (and rewarded)
You don't need to be licensed to apply — but if you're an LPN, RN, or Medical Assistant, we'd love to hear from you, and pay is adjusted accordingly for education and experience. We're looking for the right person first; we'll build the pay around what you bring.
If you're a nurse or MA with phlebotomy or IV-start skills, that's a real plus — we'd put those skills to work as part of the role. Blood draws for lab work and IV/regenerative therapies are a growing part of what we do, and someone who can take that on will find the job broader, more hands-on, and reflected in their pay.

- $18–$30/hour, depending on credentials and experience.
