- To consult on projects for Alaska and North American clients, with some travel
- Manage and execute technical studies, closure plans, reclamation plans, permit applications, cost estimates, and other project deliverables.
- Develop project scopes, work plans, schedules, budgets, and proposals and manage projects through successful completion.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, and other technical specialists.
- Conduct site inspections, technical evaluations, environmental audits, and due diligence reviews.
- Coordinate with mining clients, contractors, and state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Prepare technical reports, memoranda, presentations, and supporting documentation.
- Support business development activities and contribute to maintaining and growing client relationships.
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, environmental science, geology, mine engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in mining, engineering consulting, environmental consulting, civil infrastructure, mine operations, or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience managing technical projects, including responsibility for project planning, budgeting, scheduling, technical deliverables, and client communications.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and technical writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with mine closure, reclamation, environmental permitting, cost estimating, or other mining-related projects.
- Knowledge of Alaska mining regulations, federal environmental permitting programs and regulatory agency coordination.
- Professional registration (PE, PG, PMP, or similar credential) and consulting experience.
