Overview
We are seeking a motivated Propane Jurisdictional Technician (Flex worker) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of propane systems within designated jurisdictions. Your expertise will help maintain high safety standards, perform maintenance and repairs, and support the installation of propane equipment across various sites.
SUMMARY
Provides customer service and satisfaction by efficient installation, inspection, and maintenance of a variety of propane storage, equipment, piping, and meters of Residential, Commercial, and Industrial customers in a manner that supports the company’s commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
Works in the Service Department or Drives for the Delivery Department in the winter months.
WORK HOURS
Normal work schedule is 6:30 am to 5:00 pm with a half hour lunch break 4 days per week.Or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with a ½ hour lunch 5 days/week.
Occasionally, during our busy season, additional hours may be required to meet our business needs. On call emergency response team.
Duties
- Conduct inspections of propane systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on mechanical systems, appliances, HVAC/R equipment, refrigeration units, and related mechanical components
- Install propane appliances and equipment following schematics, technical manuals, and safety protocols
- Diagnose issues using schematics and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes quickly and accurately
- Support construction projects by assisting with system setup, equipment repair, and operational testing
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, installations, and maintenance activities for compliance purposes
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safe work practices and efficient service delivery
Qualifications
- Proven experience in appliance repair, service technician roles, or mechanical systems repair
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, air conditioning, and mechanical systems
- Skilled in reading schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting and installation purposes
- Experience with appliance installation, maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), and equipment servicing
- Construction experience or familiarity with building codes is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in team environments or project settings
- Excellent mechanical aptitude combined with strong problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel within assigned jurisdiction as needed

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
