Responsibilities

- Support meal preparation by organizing ingredients and ensuring readiness for cooking or serving
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, ovens, mixers, and other culinary tools
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure proper food handling procedures are maintained
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment through regular cleaning of workstations, floors, and storage areas
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal prep and service activities while adhering to recipe guidelines and menu plans
Experience
- Previous experience in a food industry setting such as restaurants, catering services, or dietary departments is preferred
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments
- Experience in dietary aide roles or dietary departments is a plus
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations
- Basic culinary experience including knife skills, slicing techniques, and meal preparation methods is desirable
- Prior work involving food handling, serving, or catering demonstrates your ability to thrive in a fast-paced food service environment
