Qualifications
- Associate's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, related field or equivalent experience
- 1 - 2 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising or administrative support
- Experience with donor relations, events or fundraising activities preferred
Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
Donor Engagement & Fundraising Support
- Assist with donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities
- Support outreach to local businesses, sponsors, and community partners
- Contribute to fundraising campaigns, including individual and monthly giving efforts
- Assist with grant research, writing, and reporting
- Represent Lakewood Center at community and networking events as needed
Database Management & Administration
- Maintain donor records and process gifts in CRM (Bloomerang)
- Generate reports, track fundraising timelines, calendars, event logistics, and departmental workflows
- Prepare acknowledgment letters, tax receipts, and donor communications
- Provide administrative support, including calendar tracking and workflow coordination
- Draft and proofread emails, newsletters, invitations, and other materials
Events & Campaign Execution
- Coordinate logistics for fundraising events, including vendors, volunteers, and materials
- Support event promotion, registration, and follow-up communications
- Solicit sponsorships, auction items, and in-kind donations
- Assist with achieving fundraising and event goals outlined in the strategic fundraising plan
- Support additional development-related projects and duties as assigned
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and Adobe tools
- Experience with CRM and fundraising platforms (Bloomerang and OneCause preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Professionalism in handling confidential information
- Availability for occasional evenings/weekends and ability to lift up to 25 lbs
