Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support our financial operations through accurate bookkeeping, data entry, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service skills, accounting knowledge, technical skills, and a proactive attitude to help maintain our financial integrity and streamline administrative processes.
Duties
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Perform general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation tasks
- Enter data accurately into various accounting systems such as QuickBooks and Rent Manager
- Assist with payroll management using QuickBooks
- Support month-end closing activities including journal entries and account analysis
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records for all vendor contracts and property records
- Conduct financial data analysis using Excel for reporting and decision-making purposes
- Prepare reports such as budget-vs-actual reports monthly for Property Managers and Property Owners
- Maintain employee files and administer employee benefits and maintain accurate payroll records
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Solid grasp of accounting practices
- Proficiency with financial software such as QuickBooks
- Knowledge of technical accounting concepts
- Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail for data entry and account analysis
- Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping accurately
- Familiarity with financial concepts like debits & credits, account reconciliation, and budgeting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
