Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items efficiently while maintaining consistency and quality standards
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with safety standards in production
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient prep to support smooth kitchen operations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives, slicers, and cooking appliances
- Support catering events and special functions by preparing dishes according to specifications
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and uphold excellent food service standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within restaurants or the food industry
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food handling safety measures
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and food safety management practices
- Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations is highly desirable
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Prior kitchen experience demonstrating culinary expertise and attention to detail
