This position is for an installing Journeyman. The position will be implementing company best practices as it relates to commercial electrical installations
Main Duties:
- Maintain an environment focused jobsite safety
- Install ridged, EMT and PVC raceways
- Install ground system from exothermic to non-reversible crimp connections.
- Read Blue Prints and utilize Plan reading software such as Bluebeam.
- Install electrical equipment from MCC, subpanels to disconnect switches
- Install medium voltage terminations.
- Install cable tray and related systems
- Install Fire Stopping assemblies
- Maintain job site schedule and coordination with other trades
- Calculate conduit fills and wire ampacities
- Operation heavy machinery and power tools
- Support, mentor, and help train electrical apprentices to ensure growth, skill development, and alignment with company best practices
Qualifications:
- State of Michigan Journeyman Electrical License
- Implementation of company best practices
- Up to date on current NEC Codes
- Ability to successfully operate man lifts with operating heights from 10’ to 30’
- Highrise Experience
- Knowledge of PPE for arc flash NFPA 70E
- Knowledge of proper rigging of switch gear and raceway
- Commercial 5 Experience
- Valid Drivers License
- Clean Legal Record
- Experienced coordination and communication skills
- Must be able to Travel 50 miles to a project site.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34.00 - $45.00 per hour
