Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bindery Operator to join our dynamic printing and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, finishing, and preparing printed materials for delivery, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. Your expertise will help transform raw printed sheets into finished products that meet client specifications, contributing to the seamless flow of our production process. Responsibilities
- Operate bindery equipment such as folding machines, cutters, UV Coating, and coiling books, to assemble printed materials efficiently and accurately.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet color management standards, layout specifications, and overall quality expectations.
- Manage material handling tasks to load, unload, and organize supplies and finished goods safely.
- Conduct routine maintenance on bindery machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with prepress and graphic design teams to interpret job specifications and execute finishing processes accordingly.
- Implement quality control procedures throughout the production cycle, verifying color accuracy, typography clarity, and layout consistency.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of print finishing techniques including folding, binding, cutting, and laminating.
- Familiarity with finishing printed projects, lifting boxes up to 50# and reading job tickets.
- Understanding of quality control standards specific to print advertising and packaging products.
- Basic knowledge of print production workflows.
