We are hiring a CMM Machine Operator for our client, a growing manufacturing organization, to support inspection and testing processes. This role is responsible for evaluating product quality, documenting results, and collaborating with production teams to ensure compliance with established standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections and testing of materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications
- Review and interpret blueprints, technical data, and work instructions to determine inspection requirements
- Document and report inspection results, including measurements, test data, and observations
- Identify nonconformances and communicate findings to appropriate team members
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts
- Monitor production processes and equipment to ensure consistent quality output
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment
- Conduct first article inspections in accordance with requirements
- Verify incoming materials against purchase specifications and report discrepancies
- Maintain, clean, and calibrate inspection tools and equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and contribute to a safe working environment
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing setting
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with inspection tools such as microscopes, magnifiers, and precision measuring instruments
- Familiarity with specialized equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills
- Knowledge of quality standards and compliance processes (e.g., ISO)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- High school diploma or GED required
Pay $20 - $22/ hour Depending on Experience
