Entry-Level Coax Splicer – Paid Training
AMD Utilities Inc. is looking for motivated, hardworking individuals to join our growing team as Entry-Level Coax Splicers. No telecommunications experience is required—we provide paid training and hands-on experience in the industry.
This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career working on the communication networks that keep communities connected. You will work alongside experienced technicians in a fast-paced outdoor environment while learning a skilled trade.
Duties
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of coaxial cable systems
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools - Work from ladders and bucket trucks when required
- Read basic schematics and construction prints
- Troubleshoot and assist with network repairs
- Perform inspections and maintain quality and safety standards
- Work outdoors for the entire shift in all weather conditions
Requirements
- Must have experience using common hand tools (drills, impact drivers, wrenches, socket sets, screwdrivers, etc.) and be comfortable using them safely.
- Must be physically capable of working outdoors year-round in South Florida, including extreme heat, humidity, direct sunlight, rain, and other changing weather conditions.
- Comfortable working at heights on ladders and in bucket trucks.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Construction, utility, telecommunications, or other outdoor field experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and a willingness to learn are essential.
Schedule
Monday – Friday 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM

- This job is physically demanding and includes lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing, walking uneven terrain, and working outdoors for the entire shift. Can you perform these essential job duties?
