Job Details
We are seeking an experienced NICU/Pediatric Transport Registered Nurse to support ground transportation of neonatal and pediatric patients. The RN will work as part of a transport team with Respiratory Therapists and Advanced Practice Providers to safely transfer critically ill infants and children from surrounding hospitals, emergency departments, L&D, NICUs, and other units to a higher level of care.
The RN may also float to NICU, PICU, and Pediatric units to provide bedside nursing support when needed.

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- At least 1 year of relevant experience required
- Previous NICU/PICU experience
- Previous ground transport experience is required
- Experience caring for neonatal and pediatric patients
- Epic charting experience required
- Active Compact RN License in hand at submission, if applicable
- BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Strong clinical judgment and emergency response skills
- Willingness to float to NICU, PICU, and Pediatric units as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care during ground transportation of neonatal and pediatric patients.
- Assess and continuously monitor critically ill infants and children during transport.
- Collaborate with Respiratory Therapists and Advanced Practice Providers during patient transfers.
- Manage ventilated patients, airways, oxygen therapy, and respiratory support.
- Monitor and manage IVs, central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, and other critical-care equipment.
- Administer emergency medications, IV vasopressors, continuous sedation, and pediatric medications as ordered.
- Interpret vital signs, arterial blood gases, and cardiac rhythms.
- Provide care for patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ventilator support, and airway suctioning.
- Perform and maintain appropriate infection-control and isolation precautions.
- Provide bedside nursing care in NICU, PICU, or Pediatric units when assigned.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation using Epic.
- Ensure transport equipment is properly prepared and functioning before patient transfers.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients' families, and receiving facilities.
Pay: $2,400.00 - $2,700.00 per week
