Position Summary:
Under the direction of designated staff, performs assigned duties that aid in the overall educational experience of the intern.
ORLANDO HEALTH MELBOURNE HOSPITAL
Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital, which joined Orlando Health in the fall of 2024, is a 119-bed acute-care facility
conveniently located in Melbourne, Florida. The hospital provides a full scope of healthcare services with advanced
technology and expertise in a number of areas, including heart and vascular care, digestive health, emergency
care, orthopedics and surgical services. In addition to full hospital and laboratory accreditation from The Joint
Commission, the hospital is the first in Brevard County to receive spine surgery certification for its specialized spine
program. Orlando Health Melbourne received high performing ratings in hip replacement and knee replacement
from U.S. News & World Report for 2024-25 and a repeat “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group for
Spring 2025.

Responsibilities:
- May work on special projects and assignments for a department at Orlando Health.

Works with other team members on processes and procedures for the assigned department.

Job duties will vary depending on departmental needs and individual skills sets.

This is a temporary assignment for college students obtaining work experience.

Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.

Qualifications:
Education/Training
Must be able to demonstrate reading, verbal and written communication, mathematical, and reasoning skills typically acquired
through completion of a high school education.
Licensure/Certification
Based on area of assignment, required licenses and certifications.
