Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of interior spaces using commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures for cleaning solutions, disinfectants, and other custodial chemicals.
- Conduct groundskeeping tasks including lawn care, landscaping, trash removal, snow removal, and general outdoor maintenance to enhance curb appeal.
- Operate maintenance equipment like floor buffers and power washers to maintain floors and exterior surfaces in top condition.
- Assist with minor repairs such as residential painting or light carpentry to support overall property maintenance needs.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks, including heavy lifting practices and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or visitor inquiries professionally while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and industrial cleaning tools.
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards to ensure safe working conditions.
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, or groundskeeping is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safety protocols consistently.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail; excellent time management skills are essential for completing daily tasks efficiently.
- Customer service skills that enable positive interactions with residents, tenants, or visitors.
