Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist (OTR) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient-centered care, with experience across various settings including inpatient, outpatient, schools, and post-acute care environments. As an Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate and develop personalized treatment plans to enhance individuals' functional independence, assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), and support discharge planning. Your expertise will contribute to improving quality of life for diverse populations, including those with disabilities, autism, geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals recovering from illness or injury.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to inform individualized care plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving motor skills, sensory processing, and daily functioning.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless transition across care settings.
- Work with individuals across various age groups including pediatrics, geriatrics, and early intervention populations.
- Develop and modify treatment strategies based on patient progress and evolving needs.
- Document patient progress accurately in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
- Provide education to patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment to support ongoing recovery at home or in community settings.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical assessment techniques.
- Experience working in acute care environments such as ICU or skilled nursing facilities.
- Familiarity with post-acute care processes including home health services and outpatient clinics.
- Proven ability to work effectively with individuals with autism, disabilities, or requiring specialized interventions such as speech therapy or early intervention programs.
- Strong case management skills for developing comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Competence in handling diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients in school or outpatient settings.
- Ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals on discharge planning and treatment adjustments.

Pay: $3,912.92 - $4,712.33 per week
