Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our small concierge-style healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate proficiency in technical, personal and office skillsets. This role is in a small primary care internal medicine office and you will be working alongside one physician and one medical assistant to provide high-quality personalized medical care to adult patients.
Duties
- Help with front desk operations including patient check-in/check-out, answering phone calls, and managing inquiries efficiently.
- Handle patient registration and insurance verification with accuracy.
- Follow up on patient communications with reliability to provide continuity of care.
- Assist in scheduling appointments and managing the office calendar.
- Conduct annual wellness program components such as vision, hearing, spirometry, EKG, ABI, body composition measurement and agility testing.
- Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, prescribing/refilling of medications as directed by physician, performing phlebotomy, POC tests, and preparing lab specimens for testing/lab sendout.
- Maintain patient records with accuracy while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes, schedule STAT tests, providing immunizations, and placing telemetry patches as needed.
- Provide friendly, professional, personalized care to patients and their families.
- Address administrative challenges proactively and with patience in a collaborative workplace environment to develop effective solutions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Support colleagues to contribute to a positive team dynamic and enhance patient engagement and the overall patient experience.
Skills
The successful candidate will possess a range of skills including, but not limited to:
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic and Athenahealth.
- Experience in adult outpatient offices that have continuity of care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices.
- Strong assessment skills for triage over the phone and in outpatient setting.
- Familiarity with chronic disease management including diabetes care, other chronic disease management, geriatric care and preventive care.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy, venipuncture, specimen collection/processing, and administer injections.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Base Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
