Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, including inventory handling, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and the ability to operate various equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced distribution center supporting e-commerce and retail operations.
Duties
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to track inventory levels, process orders, and update stock records accurately.
- Pick and pack customer orders with precision using order pickers and RF scanners to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Prepare shipments by packaging products securely and labeling them correctly for delivery.
- Receive incoming shipments by inspecting goods, verifying quantities against shipping documents, and recording receipts in the system.
- Stock shelves efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized workspace to facilitate smooth warehouse operations.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and cycle counts to support accurate stock levels.
- Support shipping & receiving processes by coordinating with carriers and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Contribute to warehouse distribution activities by loading trucks and unloading incoming freight.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to meet daily operational goals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is required; familiarity with warehouse distribution is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, or similar platforms.
- Basic math skills for counting inventory, measuring packages, and verifying quantities.
- Experience with order picking & packing processes within e-commerce or retail settings.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy items safely.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and safety protocols.
