The Occupational Therapist plays a vital role in helping residents maintain and regain the skills needed for everyday living. Through individualized evaluations, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions, the Occupational Therapist works to improve function, safety, independence, and overall quality of life.
This position includes:
- Evaluating residents and developing individualized treatment plans
- Providing skilled occupational therapy services in accordance with physician orders
- Addressing deficits related to self-care, activities of daily living, mobility, and functional independence
- Collaborating closely with residents, families, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Supervising and directing Occupational Therapy Assistants as appropriate
- Supporting a culture of excellence, compassion, and resident-centered care
