Job Overview
Southside Transport LLC is seeking a dependable, safety-focused, and professional Class A CDL Driver to join our team on a part-time basis. This position involves running a dedicated local route within a 150-mile radius, allowing drivers to be home daily.
We are looking for a driver with some flatbed experience; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking flexible, consistent work with a company that values professionalism, reliability, and customer service.
Schedule
- Summer: 3–4 days per week
- Winter: 2–3 days per week
- Local routes with home daily opportunities
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on a dedicated local route
- Properly secure and tarp loads when required
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and transportation documentation
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Represent Southside Transport LLC professionally at all customer locations
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with customers, dispatchers, shippers, and receivers
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements
- Flatbed experience preferred, but not required
- Willingness to learn proper load securement and flatbed operations
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Strong professional attitude and customer-service mindset
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening (paid for by Southside Transport LLC)
Professional Standards
Drivers are often the face of our company. Professionalism at all shippers and receivers is a must. We expect drivers to be courteous, respectful, well-groomed, and able to maintain positive working relationships with customers and facility personnel.
Smoking or vaping is not permitted in company equipment under any circumstances. Applicants must be willing to maintain a clean, smoke-free truck environment and take pride in the appearance and condition of the equipment.
