Summary
As a Head Start Teacher, you will support early childhood development by delivering engaging instruction, overseeing classroom activities, and fostering a safe, nurturing learning environment. Reporting to the program supervisor, you will utilize core skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and family communication to support young learners’ growth. You will collaborate with staff to implement developmentally appropriate curricula, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws. Your experience in early childhood education and commitment to high-quality early intervention will help children thrive.
QUALIFICATION
Ocala Preschool is currently seeking to hire a Headstart Teacher that is caring, hard working, self-motivated and able instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual, social and physical growth. Every teaching candidates must display love for children, be team-oriented, cooperative and able work well with all staff as well as students and parents.
Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields is preferred but not required.

- Ability to build rapport with children & families
- Must be able to pass a DCF background check
- Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related (Preferred)
- DCF 45 Hrs Training (Required)
- CPR & First Aid (Preferred)
