American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - PACU for a reproductive and fertility outpatient procedure suite in Charlotte, NC, requiring Epic proficiency and conscious sedation experience.

Outpatient reproductive and fertility procedure suite operating similarly to an endoscopy unit
-
Procedure suite consists of 3 PACU rooms, 2 blocked procedure rooms, and 1 room for awake/oral procedures
-
Patient population includes embryo transfers, egg retrievals, hysteroscopies, and occasional D&Cs
-
Approximately 5 anesthesia procedures and 4 non-anesthesia procedures performed daily
-
1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio with the nurse following each patient through the peri-op continuum from pre-op to discharge
-
8-hour day shift, 6:30am - 3:00pm, 40 hours per week

No weekend rotation required

No floating required
-
No on-call responsibilities

EMR: Epic (experience required)

Medication dispensing via Omnicell; IV administration by gravity only (no pumps)

Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 1 year of PACU or outpatient procedural nursing experience, with most recent experience within the last year

Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Experience with conscious/moderate sedation and Aldrete scoring required
-
Proficient in IV starts, patient rooming and discharge, and discharge education
-
Comfortable with outpatient procedure workflows and peri-operative processes
-
Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Nurse is responsible for managing patients throughout the full peri-operative process, including pre-op, procedure support, PACU recovery, and discharge education
-
Up to 3 physicians present in the procedure suite at a time, with an outpatient clinic supervisor and clerical supervisor always on site
-
Orientation includes facility NEO plus at least 2 weeks of unit-specific orientation

Scrubs are provided by the facility
